Cabworks Australia was established in 2023, as specialists in operator cab refurbishment. Based in the Hunter Valley, NSW, servicing Australia-wide, we pride ourselves on safely delivering quality cab overhauls, on time.
Having an accumulative total of 30 years working in the mining industry, we have a real passion for overhauling operator cabs, taking pride in our work, with real attention to detail throughout the whole build process, simplifying the overhaul experience for our customers.
At Cabworks we understand the project complexities of overhauling operating cabs, both rotable programs and midlife refurbs. From the planning stage, sourcing parts, acquiring skilled and experience labour and managing any constraints. Our goal is to simplify the process for the customer saving them time and money.

David McKinnon
David has over 40 years’ experience as an auto electrician.
After completing his trade, he went on to start and operate two successful auto electrical businesses. He has worked in the mining industry as an auto electrician for the last 13 years in the Hunter Valley region of NSW.
In this time, he has gained a wide experience in OEM mining machinery. A large amount of these years was spent in the mining machine rebuild area both as a tradesman and management role.
This experience gives him the confidence to rebuild mining machine cabs to a very high standard, whether its OEM only or all dealer provided options.
Ray Williams
Ray has near 20 years experience as an Auto-Electrician, having completed his trade in the farming and forestry industry, in New Zealand.
Expanding his horizons, he moved to Western Australia, beginning his mining industry experience in both field service and mine-site maintenance. Continuing on, completing his dual trade as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic.
Now, 10 years on, and a relocation to NSW, the experience of working at multiple sites in a variety of roles, becoming expertly knowledgable of OEM equipment and aftermarket systems allows him to comprehensively carry out overhauls to any cab and/or related components.
